FAQs
When will formal invitations be mailed?
1
Late July
if i completed the early RSVP, do i need to complete the formal rSVP?
2
Yes, please! We understand plans change so the early RSVP was just to help us plan, but the final RSVP counts will be shared with venues and vendors.
what if i need to change my RSVP?
3
Please share your final RSVP by Thursday, September 10th. After that date, we aren’t able to add guests, but if your plans change and you can no longer attend, just let us know.
When should i book travel?
The decision is entirely yours, but between University of Pittsburgh and Steelers football games that weekend, we recommend booking once you’re sure about your attendance for the best prices and availability.
4
is parking available near the venues?
5
Parking information will be confirmed closer to the event, but there is street parking at all venues as well as reliable access to rideshares.
are the venues accessible?
Yes! If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
6
Is there a rehearsal dinner?
7
Nope!
can i explore the museum during the wedding?
8
Yes and we hope you do! It’s a Pittsburgh highlight and includes permanent installations by some of our favorite artists.
is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
9
Both. The wedding will move between indoor and outdoor spaces. Outdoor spaces will be covered in the case of inclement weather.
what does “cocktail style” reception mean?
10
It means there won’t be a traditional, seated, “chicken or fish” meal, but there will be lots of food. Come hungry.
what’s this about a cookie table?
11
While we are unlikely to break any world records, cookie tables are a fixture at Pittsburgh weddings and ours will be no different. Learn more here.
are dietary restrictions accommodated?
12
Yes - and conveniently, the bride’s allergies mean the menu will already be free of shellfish, peanuts, and almonds. For anything else, including vegan / vegetarian options, please note your restrictions in your RSVP and we’ll share with our caterer.
what is pittsburgh weather like in late september?
13
Late September offers some of Pittsburgh’s best weather: highs in the low-to-mid 60s°F and slightly cooler in the evenings. It’s Pittsburgh, so rain is always possible, but late September tends to be drier than spring.
What if i have other questions?

We’re always happy to hear from you. Email us at cannonlavoiewdg@gmail.com. FYI — we may be slow to respond in the week before the wedding.
